your daily crossroad

The Harvest is on its Way

Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? (Psalm 56:8)

He has bottled up every fallen tear so that He can water the harvest of your future.

Don’t be afraid of letting your tears fall and pouring out your heart. The problems we face in this life are not meaningless, nor is the pain in vain.

Do not try to understand God’s infinite sovereignty or mysterious ways, because peace never comes by mere understanding. Instead, trust in the fact that He is God, and you are completely safe in His loving arms.

He knows what is happening behind the scenes in your life and things beyond. God is not limited to time and space, therefore we will never comprehend His way of working things out.

Because you are so precious to Him, the Lord has preserved every tear in His book of remembrance. He is calling you to trust in His sovereignty and His infinite perspective.

Be encouraged today that the harvest of your future is on its way. He has promised you peace and joy! Yes, even in this season and every season to come! And On the day He returns once again, He will wipe away every tear from your eyes. There will no longer be any cause of pain or suffering!

His Healing Touch

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. (Romans 6:14)

As God’s children, saved by faith, we are new beings.

We are no longer confined to our old ways of sin.

Because we have God’s Holy Spirit living in us, we are dead to sin and free to live by grace.

We are new beings and our old and harmful ways of thinking and behaving should no longer be a part of our lives.

When we feel tempted to slip back into selfish habits and ways of coping, we must ask God for His help, to live in His will.

The more we lean on His Holy Spirit and ask Him to empower us, the more we can break the chains that keep us in sinful bondage.

Ask God to show you which areas of your life need His healing touch today.

God Has What is Best for You

There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. (Proverbs 19:21)

Have your plans ever been interrupted? How did you react?

For most of us, it can be frustrating when things don’t go the way we planned them to be.

Sadly, sometimes we plan so far ahead or so meticulously that we fail to stop and consider what God’s plan is.

Sometimes it is God Himself who interrupts us, because He wants to give us direction and reveal His plan.

Remember, His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. His ways are higher!

The busyness of life can numb or blind us to God’s will.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13)

Not only is it God’s pleasure and responsibility to lead and guide us to His plan, it is also His responsibility to give us the desire and power to follow it!

When you accepted Jesus into your heart and embarked on this life-long journey with Him, the transforming power of the Holy Spirit made His home in you.

This means God is working in you, causing you to desire (as well as understand) His plan for your life.

The more you seek His face and fall in love with Him, the more your desires change to align with His desires!

Today, know that you do not have to fret about your future or worry yourself into a frenzy. God is in control. God knows your future. God has what is best for you. The next time your plans are interrupted, stop and take the time to see if it’s the Lord wanting to give you direction. You will never be disappointed in what He has in store!

Do You Know The Voice of Your Shepherd?

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. (Isaiah 30:21)

Hearing God’s voice is something He meant for all of us to have.

It’s not only a select few who are labeled “spiritually elite”.

God is not a respecter of persons, which means every single one of us has the ability to hear from Him.

Ever since the crucifixion, the veil between humanity and God has been torn open, granting us access into the Holy of Holies and an intimate relationship with Him!

When one of your close friends or family members calls your name from across the house or calls you on the phone, you know it is them by the distinct sound of their voice.

This is the same with the Lord. Our sensitivity to His voice depends on how strong our relationship with Him is.

When we truly yearn for God’s direction, His will is naturally revealed to us. It all starts with being able to recognize His voice!

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. (John 10:27)

Back in Jesus’ day, sheep belonging to different flocks would sometimes spend the night together in the same fold.

Once morning arrived, the shepherds would come out and call their sheep.

While all the sheep would hear the call of each shepherd, they only came to the one they knew and recognized as their personal shepherd.

As Christians, we are the Lord’s sheep, and He is our protective shepherd.

Do you know the voice of your shepherd?

Many voices will try to call out to you in life cajoling you to follow the ways of the world, but only one voice belongs to your loving shepherd… Jesus.

As you go through today, know that He always takes delight in speaking to you. Stay close to Him, and listen with your heart for His love call!

Don’t Give Up!

Forget the former things, Kristie; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. (Isaiah 43:18-19)

Have you ever felt weighed down by your past?

As we journey through life in our walk with God, we must refuse to allow the past to define us.

Oftentimes, the enemy will try to remind us of our past in the hopes of causing us shame and delay us in fulfilling our calling here on earth.

What a fool he is!

Because Jesus died on the cross, He has already paid the price in full for our guilt and shame… past, present, and future!

In times when we feel like we have run into a brick wall, it may be because we are forecasting our past into our present and future.
Satan will try to shoot arrows against our minds in the form of illusions concerning our future.

He will cast doubt for what lies ahead.

When this happens, your job is to not give up!

The truth is that your future is firmly planted in God’s hands. Not once has He let you slip from His fingers or allowed you to be stolen from Him.

As a beloved child of the Most High, your duty is to keep believing God can do wondrous things for you and through you.

If you feel like you are in the midst of a dry wilderness, refuse to be halted by the obstacles that come your way!

Keep moving forward in child-like trust and dependency on the Lord, knowing that He wants what’s best for you and will be faithful in delivering you safely!

No matter how small, each step you take while grasping the Lord’s hand will enable the path before you to gradually open.

Where there once seemed to be no way, now lies a new path of hopeful abundance!

Know that the Lord is doing a new thing in you, for you, and through you. He is saying to let go of the former things, and look to Him regarding the future. Rejoice, for a new stream of His faithful abundance is springing forth amid the barren wasteland!

Don’t give up!! Amen!! Don’t give up!! I repeat, Don’t give up!! When the enemy brings discouragement just meet him with Thanksgiving of Praise to God for answering your hearts prayer, that very special unspoken request is known to God!!  If you maintain consistency throwing praise back in the Devils face when he brings those filthy stinking lies, it’s like hanging a no vacancy sign on your heart/mind.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Rescue Me, Again!

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom beglory for ever and ever. Amen. (2 Timothy 4:18)

Christians tend to think of Jesus, first and foremost, as a Teacher— devoting ourselves to learning from Jesus and following His example.

And though this is biblical and noble, Jesus is not primarily a teacher.

First and foremost, Jesus is a rescuer. Your first identity in Christ is “rescued one.”

· Jesus rescues you

· Jesus rescued you from the penalty of sin.

· Jesus is rescuing you from the power of sin.

· One day, Jesus will rescue you from the presence of sin forever.

As Christ-followers, we spend our whole lives in need of rescue.

No one arrives of their own volition. No one comes unscathed. No one enters the Kingdom free from temptation and trials.

· Every day we are at war.

· We are at war with sin.

· We are at war with ourselves.

· We are at war with satan in the world.

And most days, if we’re honest, we admit, we lose many of these battles.

We fall prey to old sinful desires. We lean on ourselves more than God. We find ourselves captivated and captured by the things of this world.

Again and again, we need rescue.

Praise be to God that Christ is not just a teacher. Christ is not just a healer. Christ did not come to make good people better.

Christ came to bring dead people to life and give them life to the full.

He came, and He keeps coming, every day offering life and love and mercy and peace.

Every day rescuing His sheep, sheep who are prone to wander. Sheep who lose their way. Sheep who stray, falter, and fail.

He’s there, leading, strengthening, and pulling us from the mud.

Are you in need of a rescue today? Look no further than Jesus Christ, the great Rescuer.

Always remember, if you are in Christ, no part of your life is beyond His reach. Rescue is not only possible, but surely is coming!

Your prayer this morning, “Jesus, here I am, fallen, battered, and captured by sin. Rescue me. Again.”

Hallelujah! What a devotion! I pray you are touched by this devotion today. No part of your life is beyond His reach! Don’t allow the enemy to rob you of what’s rightfully yours as a child of God, peace. He will always rescue you! Trust Him entirely, we all need rescued.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

The Greatest Book of All Time

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Peter 1:21)

God wrote a book. Think about that.

So great is His love that He wrote it down so that we might have His story forever.

God wrote a book. And He wrote it in a remarkable way. God used 40 different authors from many different backgrounds. He used three languages throughout 1500 years.

Different authors. Different vocations. Different languages. 1500 years. God wrote a book. Absolutely spectacular!

Peter, a disciple of Jesus, said the writers were “moved” or “carried along” by the Holy Spirit.

The Greek word translated “moved” in 2 Peter 1:21 has the idea of “to be carried,” or “to be borne along.”

This word was used of a ship being carried along by the wind in its sail.

Like motionless boats on windless waters, God’s Spirit filled the conscience and hearts of man and drove him along as he penned the Scriptures.

God, the Creator of the universe, wrote a book, and He used man to do it. Tremendous.

My encouragement for you this morning is simple: read His Book.

The Creator wrote you and me a book, and He did it in spectacular fashion. Because of such, daily you need to:
  • Read the Book with an earnest desire to understand it.
  • Read the Book with simple, childlike faith and humility.
  • Read the Book with a spirit of obedience and self-application.

To do these three things is to know God and grow closer to Him. Read the book.

Your prayer this morning, “God thank you for writing the Book. God, I want to know you; give me hunger, a thirst, and an understanding of your Word.”

This devotion blessed me. I pray after reading this devotion you are encouraged to open the most powerful book of all time,  created by an author that loves you, me, every single person, He loves you and He wrote the most incredible book for you and I, the Word of God! May we never take it for granted but choose to open it and read it, learn from it and apply it to our lives every single day! BIBLE, Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. Read His Book!

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Praise and Worship

Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. (Hebrews 12:12-13)

Whenever we feel tired, weary and weak, sometimes the last thing we want to do is give a shout of praise.

Our flesh would much rather lay down in surrender, while the enemy kicks us in the ribs.

However, our praise is a weapon against the enemy!

It is in the times of weakness and difficulty where giving God praise and worship is vital.

The enemy will try to silence your praise and worship, but chains are broken and bondages are set loose whenever you choose to open your mouth and exalt God’s name!

As you keep walking forward on God’s path, praising His name will come easier to you, even when you feel weary.

Magnifying the King of Kings in worship and thanksgiving allows you to step into His presence, and receive your breakthrough!

All weariness, heartbreak, and heaviness will have no choice but to be lifted off, as you are made whole and refreshed in His life-giving presence.

So I say to my soul, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” Then I’ll have plenty of reasons to praise him all over again. Yes, he is my saving grace! (Psalm 42:11)

The next time you feel overcome with weakness, understand that you are not waiting for your breakthrough, your breakthrough is waiting for you.

How do you get there? By praising His glorious name!

This devotion blessed me so much when I read it. I had to share it with each and every one of you. Praise His glorious name! Your breakthrough is waiting for you! Hallelujah! Your praise is a weapon.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Amazing Love

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. (1 Peter 1:8)

Someday we will see Jesus face to face, but for now we love Him without having seen Him.

This illustrates our faith and belonging to Him.

Even though the voice of the enemy will try to make us feel foolish for loving someone we have not seen, it only makes us all the more blessed!

Our passionate love for Him is not something to be seen as foolish, but a natural response to His divine soul tugs. It is a response to His own extravagant love for us!

This amazing love was displayed for the whole world to see, in the natural and supernatural realm, on the cross.

Until the day comes where He takes us into glory, we can rejoice here on earth!

We can fellowship in His constant presence, as He is our eternal companion not only in this life, but beyond into eternity.

Even though you cannot see Him now, He is closer to you than any other person on earth ever will be.

He is the only One who understands you perfectly, and the only One who can love you perfectly.

As you walk by faith and not by sight, you will be able to break free from the restrictions of doubt, and delve deeper into the boundless love of your Father!

“Even though you cannot see Him now, He is closer to you than any other person on earth ever will be. Amen!! When I read this devotion it blessed me so much, I struggled to hold back the tears. I pray you are also uplifted and encouraged by this devotion.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

His Presence

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)

As we go through our walk with God, we should aim to live in the present with Him.

Each moment we have is a gift, which can easily slip away from our grasp of awareness when we let ourselves wander away from His presence.

The most effective solution to this is by intentionally occupying these moments with His presence again.

In addition, we can take full advantage of each day by walking in the fullness of our calling. Did you know you have been hand chosen by God? You did not haphazardly end up on the earth, only to aimlessly wander around until death.

No, the Lord has given you a mission, and a divine inspired purpose for every single day of your life!

As His children, we are heirs of His kingdom and can walk with our heads held high in humble confidence because of who we are in Christ.

So I, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to you to live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called [that is, to live a life that exhibits godly character, moral courage, personal integrity, and mature behavior—a life that expresses gratitude to God for your salvation.] (Ephesians 4:1 AMP)

When you truly begin to grasp the revelation of who God is and the heavenly calling He’s placed over you, no day of your life can ever be boring again!

In order to fulfill your purpose, you must step into His presence daily.

Start each day by thanking Him. Look around you and search for the blessings He has already showered upon you. By praising Him with a grateful heart, your awareness of Him will increase, enabling you to fully operate in the calling He has placed over your life. Remember: the best time spent is time in His presence, where nothing is wasted. Amen.

I pray after reading this devotion, you are encouraged, just as I was, to search for the blessings He has already showered upon you. Great is thy faithfulness.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Search for Him

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. (Psalm 91:15-16)

In times of trouble, search for Him, and you will surely find Him.

Whatever you may be going through, the Lord is beside you right now, waiting for you to call out to Him.

Do not let doubt and confusion cloud your trust in Him, for He has promised to be forever faithful.

Do not underestimate your time in prayer, for it is a sacred time of communing with your Father. He longs to soothe away the trouble of the world.
As you cry out to Him, He will turn His face to you and come to your rescue.

Allow Him to destroy the walls you have put up, embrace you with His wrap-around presence, and wash away all anxiety. When you hear Him knocking on the door of your heart, let Him in! For He has come to give you a feast. Since you are His chosen beloved, He offers you to drink from His cup of joy, satisfying you with full life and salvation, never to lack.

What a powerful devotion. I pray you are just as encouraged by this as I was.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

The Love of God

But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. (Luke 12:7)

Out of all creation in the world, you are still His chosen treasure. One thing that can make us feel far away from God is forgetting that He is God! Even the sparrows of the sky and the waves of the ocean know His name, because He cares for them as their Creator.

If the God of the universe won’t abandon the little sparrow, how could He abandon you?

The love of God chases after you every day, refusing to leave you alone… even for a moment.

His love is not passive, but active.

His loving presence leaps into your life, desiring to walk with you every second.

He knows every detail about you and every thought before you even think it. He knows your likes, dislikes, heart’s desires, quirks, mannerisms, and the number of hairs on your head!

He knows the problems you face as well as the solutions.

He has completely memorized you.

Why? Because you are His beloved. Knowing this, how could He ever forget about you?

Your worth is immeasurable, because it is found in Christ.

There is no earthly currency or metric system to measure your worth to God.

In His eyes, you are priceless.

Your worth to Him is greater than the deepest ocean and magnitude of the universe itself. He purchased you with the heavenly currency of His blood!

Rejoice! For you are more valuable to Him than anything else in the world!

What truth! When I read this devotion it blessed me. I pray you are uplifted and encouraged by every word spoken.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Praise, Even Through The Tears

For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth. By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee. (Psalm 71:5-6)

There is always hope with God.

Things may not play out the way you planned or imagined, but Jesus is our hope and He is always there.

Praise Him in a new way. Allow praise to come out of you through all of the tears. Praise, even through the tears, will keep you going in any season.

Praise will fight off the hopelessness like the last warrior defending the stronghold, and in time you will stop feeling like all hope is lost.

Start seeing other areas of your life that are joy-filled and blessings from God.

If you’re struggling to hold on to hope, I implore you today to PRAISE. You ALWAYS have hope in Christ. The end result may look different than what you pictured, but you won’t be alone when you get there.

Hallelujah! This devotion blessed me so much. PRAISE HIM! Even with tear filled eyes, PRAISE HIM through it! I pray someone is just as encouraged and uplifted by this devotion today.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Praising Through Guilt

Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. (Psalm 30:4-5)

I remember in my teen years getting into trouble once for missing curfew on a Friday night.

I didn’t miss it by a few minutes, but by a couple of hours.

In fact, my parents were supposed to be away for the weekend and my dad had to drive back home to check on me because I was not where I was supposed to be. There is more to the story, but that’s for another time. The part that I remember most is that Saturday.

My dad had left again to be with my mom at their weekend away as planned. I’d been briefly chastised, but woke up Saturday to an empty house and a deep sense of dread.

I knew I had messed up big time, and that my sentencing would come down Sunday night when they returned.

I spent the rest of that weekend alone in our home cleaning every nook and cranny I could. It was guilt cleaning. I felt so bad for what I had done, and was so worried about the consequences, I let my guilt drive my actions.

Many of us function this way with God. We mess up in our hearts, minds and actions and then we begin to operate out of guilt, trying to “work off” our sin, even though we know it doesn’t work that way.

Can I propose something new? Let’s praise Him through our guilt instead.
  • Let’s Praise God for being merciful and gracious.
  • Let’s praise Him for new mercies every morning.
  • Let’s praise Him for letting us bring our confessions right to Him.

Don’t work your guilt off, praise through your guilt and let that praise get your heart and mind back on the path God has laid out for you.

Spend time today praising God for forgiving you for something specific you have said or done this week.

I pray you are just as encouraged by this devotion as I was. Remember to Praise Him through all things.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Praising in The Tunnel

But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me. (Psalm 13:5-6)

Have you ever been with a young child driving through a tunnel? They have the mix of fear and fascination on their little face as they drive through the enclosed space. Some are completely terrified, while others seem to somewhat enjoy the journey. However, all are looking forward with an eagerness to see the light that marks the tunnel coming to an end.

There are so many seasons of life that feel like a long tunnel, and we are often leaning forward desperately trying to see the light.

Whether you’re waiting for spouse, waiting for new job, waiting for child, or waiting for change of circumstances, it is not our natural inclination in that tunnel season to praise.

However, there is great power in praising God while you are in that tunnel and can’t yet see the light at the end.

There is power in praising through the waiting and the unknown. Your praise in the tunnel builds your faith while you wait and having a deeper trust in God’s faithfulness will lead and serve you well in future challenging times.

When you’re in the tunnel, and can’t see the light ahead, think back on what He’s already done and let that be your source for praise.

What past blessings can you praise God for again today?

When I read this devotion it blessed me so much. I pray you are encouraged to think back on what He’s already done. Praise Him even in the tunnel.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!
