God’s Presence

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. (Isaiah 43:10)

God, You know me. You know what I am facing, and what I’ve already overcome. Please draw near to me right now. Please remind me that You are near me. Show me glimpses of Your faithfulness in this season. Restore my hope and my joy, and teach me how to place my trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He is ever present!

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Faithful

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. (Psalm 100:5)

God, nothing is impossible for You. You love me even when I’m unloveable. You are good to me even when I don’t deserve it. You are kind and compassionate toward me even when I mess up. You show me what faithful love looks like. Thank You for never leaving or forsaking me! Today, remind me of the ways You have shown up in my life so that way I can intentionally praise You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Hand in Hand

And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 31:14)

The goodness of the Lord is able to satisfy all our soul-longings!

Without God, people go through life with an aching emptiness in their soul.

They search and search for something to satisfy it.

They exhaust every avenue of sin.

They seek love, acceptance, and identity and wholeness in things of the world.

Without realizing it, their soul is crying out for God because He created them to know Him intimately.

Only He can make us whole.

God created you to walk hand in hand with Him. He designed you to dwell in His company and feast on His goodness and bask in His blessings.

The more and more you pursue God in your relationship with Him, the more of His goodness you will come to know.

The goodness of His character and blessings will begin to saturate and satisfy you daily!

You will become permeated with His presence and people will see Christ shining in you and through, drawing those who do not yet know Him to discover Him.

Whenever we feel dissatisfied in our soul, it’s a sign and nudge for us to seek the Lord’s face.

He is never far away, but always close by waiting for you with open arms!

Any parched areas or gaping emptiness deep within us become quenched and made whole with His living water and flowing abundant goodness!

Today, feast on the Lord’s goodness and be satisfied!

Prayer: “Lord, how good you are! Only you satisfy my soul. Help me to dive deep into our relationship and receive the abundant blessings of your goodness!”

When I read this devotion it quickly reminded me of the importance to pursue God each and every day, only He can satisfy your soul.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Praise Is Powerful

Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. (Psalm 150:1-6)

Praise is powerful.

In the Bible, the word “praise” occurs about 259 times and “worship” occurs around 188 times. That’s a lot!

What a wonderful reminder of how important it is to lift up praise and worship to the Lord.

After all, the reason God created us was to worship Him!

This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.” (Isaiah 43:21)

When we praise the Lord, it’s much more than singing a happy song. In the spiritual realm, praise and worship is also a weapon of warfare. Satan and his minions can’t stand it when we exalt the name of Jesus and praise the Lord. They have no choice but to flee.

Praising and magnifying the Lord’s name causes bondages to break loose, strongholds to come down, and chains to fall! It increases our connection with God, fortifies our spirit and brings freedom.

And praising God should not be something we only do on Sunday mornings, no, our lives should be saturated with it!

Praise Him when you awake.
Praise Him before you lay down to sleep.
Praise Him in the car on your way to work.
Praise Him while you cook dinner.
Praise Him in the shower.
Praise Him when you’re standing in line at the checkout.

Today, carve out time to lift up praise to God! He is worthy!

Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!

The Holy Spirit has been reminding me of this devotion each and every day since I read it. No matter what we are facing, we must exalt and praise Him, “Satan and his minions can’t stand it when we exalt the name of Jesus and praise the Lord. They have no choice but to flee.” No matter what your going through, no matter where you are at this very moment, turn up your praise music super loud or lift up your voice and praise Him, they have no choice but to flee. Praise is Powerful! Hallelujah!

Love One Another

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (John 13:34)

Jesus, You gave us the command to love others. At times, this is easier said than done. Please work within our hearts to transform our character so that our love begins to look more and more like Yours. Amen.

Lord, Here I am, send me. As The Father sent Jesus, so Jesus sends you. I pray you are encouraged today to seek Him so you can know Him more and reflect His love to others.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

In Need of Your Guidance

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (Philippians 2:12)

God, thank You for Your abundant forgiveness. I understand I’m not perfect and I am in need of Your guidance. Please correct me when I’m wrong, teach me to do the right thing, and hold me accountable. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When I read this devotion it blessed me, short but powerful.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Beloved Treasure

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith. (Philippians 3:7-9)

Jesus is our most beloved treasure!

Looking at the Apostle Paul’s words, we can see a man who is free and joyful in his revelation of how precious Jesus is to him. Former things he once considered to be valuable are now considered garbage when compared to his relationship with Christ.

When we prize the Lord above all else, it protects us from feeling empty, fragmented and incomplete.

Gaining the revelation of how beloved Jesus is sets us free from trying to gain wholeness through other means.

The world will try to promise you wholeness and present temporary treasures, but they will never compare to the value of having Jesus Christ in your life.
  • He is the only treasure that is eternal.
  • He is the only treasure that will never fade.
  • He is the only treasure that gives you access to supernatural peace, joy and strength!

Even when you have moments in life where you feel like you have wandered, all you have to do is gently return your attention back to Him, reminding yourself that He is the only one who completes you.

No other person, place, or thing can make you whole like He can!

TODAY: Take time to reflect on the Lord’s goodness and what a treasure He is to you! If you’ve been feeling fragmented lately, be encouraged to gently turn back to Him and make Him your first love again. He longs to make you whole in Him!

What a devotion, full of strength and truth. He is indeed a treasure unlike any other. He is…

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Peace Be With You

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. (John 20:21)

Not long after Jesus’ resurrection, His disciples hid in a locked room, fearing that the same people who crucified Jesus would come and arrest them. It’s in the midst of their fearful circumstances that Jesus appears to them collectively, speaking words of peace over them.

But He doesn’t stop there.

He then tells His disciples that He is sending them out into the world. This means they are going to have to leave the safety of their locked room. But although their future is unknown, they are known by the One who holds the future. So wherever they go, and whatever they face, Jesus’ words will remain true: peace will be with them.

And Jesus continues to offer us this same peace.

We will all face hardship and difficulties. We all will go through seasons where we endure intense pain caused by struggling relationships, struggling economies, and struggling health crises.

But God’s peace isn’t based on our feelings or circumstances, which is why it’s something we can consistently experience.

God’s peace sometimes feels like a calmness in the midst of an anxious situation, or hope despite a discouraging diagnosis. It might look like unexplainable joy, or an unshakeable feeling that, regardless of what happens, God is still in control.

When our world rages, or the doctor shares something alarming, or the news reports are terrifying, God’s peace enables us to walk forward with confident assurance that the One who gives us peace goes with us. Jesus might not remove us from difficult situations, but He will always help us walk through them.

Outside pressures don’t have the power to take away God’s perfect peace that’s given to us through Jesus our Savior.

So take a few minutes today and thank Jesus for His peace that passes all understanding. Talk to Him about any concerns or worries you’re currently experiencing, and as you give them over to Him, envision Him saying to you, “peace be with you.”

Amen, Hallelujah! The moment I read this devotion it brought uplifting tears to my eyes. I pray you are encouraged and filled with His peace that passes all understanding, no matter your circumstance or situation.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

His Way is Perfect

As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.(Psalm 18:30)

We have seen many reminders of God’s providential care throughout Joseph’s life and admired his faith and fortitude through the sorrows and injustices he suffered.  Hated by brothers whose jealousy drove them to sell him as a slave.  Falsely accused by his master’s wife, unfairly sentenced to prison, and forgotten.  Consider another example of faith in the providence of God recorded by David in Psalm 18:30.

It is easy to say, “the way of God is perfect” when we are free from trials and troubles; however, are we willing to trust the LORD when trials shadow our days?  Will we trust Him when we are like gold passing through a smelter’s fire?

When enemies malign us and friends betray us, will we, like David turn to God’s promises and hope in the LORD?  Will we trust Him as our “buckler” (a small shield for hand-to-hand combat), when an enemy means to harm us?

Are you facing trials?  Don’t lose hope!  Be confident “His way is perfect” and the fiery trials you are facing have the potential of purifying your heart like silver and strengthening your character like steel!

Give thanks to the LORD even before the trial is past knowing His mercies fail not (18:46-50)!

Hallelujah! I pray this devotion blesses you just as much as it blessed me and more. Think about some of the ways God has protected you. Then, take a moment to Praise God for all He has done.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Bless Them and Pray

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. (Luke 6:28)

God, change the way I approach hard situations and difficult people. You have always had every right to hold Your anger against us—but instead, You died for us. In doing this, You blessed us with the opportunity to experience eternal life with You. Align my life with Your heart for the world. When I look at someone, help me see them the way You do and show me how to bless them. Amen.

I pray this is our hearts cry every single day, a new refreshing daily to love the seemingly unloveable and align our life with His heart for the world and those in our life at this very moment.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!
