God Is All In

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. (Philippians 4:11)

Paul was in prison when he wrote this to the church.

He was encouraging them and thanking them for prayer and support as he shared the gospel city to city.

He was speaking from a place of experience with hardship.

God has not changed, He knows what He has asked you to do and is never just an observer in your life. God is all in… every detail, every step and through all your tears.

Paul spoke of an inner strength and peace he had that made no sense. His peace truly passed all understanding. (Philippians 4:7)

It’s okay to confess that you can’t do something, just don’t stop there! We do what we can and He does what we can’t.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

“God is all in”, how many of you have had to remind yourself of that truth time and again. It’s easy to get caught up in a web of lies when in reality, we can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth us.  He is faithful through and through. I count myself blessed to have such incredibly powerful devotions, full of such truth, to share with you.

He Chose Us

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:l. (Ephesians 1:4)

God chose you, before He formed the earth he knew you and loved you.

Before the fall of Adam and Eve he knew you and made a way to be close to you forever…through the cross of Jesus Christ.

What was His purpose for you?

“To be holy and blameless”.

To be holy is to live a life of consecration, being set apart from others for God’s purposes.

He called us to be blameless, but knew of ourselves this was not possible.

He gave us Jesus to make our sin bow down and lose its’ power over us.

God you created me to have a purpose and did everything it took so I can live that purpose out! I cannot bring my purpose to pass nor can I ruin it!

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. Ephesians 1:5

“God created you and I to have a purpose”. When I read this devotion that statement stood out to me. I pray it ignites hope within you. He died so we could live. Hallelujah!

Thank God

For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. (1 Timothy 4:4-5)

Take a moment and think about some of the blessings God has given you and then, hold out your hands.

Imagine God handing those gifts to you.

As you picture this, thank Him for each blessing.

When I read this devotion I was encouraged to take a moment and imagine God. How often are we so busy we fail to stop and just imagine Him? I recently read something and it said, Does anyone else just wish that Jesus would walk into your kitchen, sit down next to you with a cup of coffee (or water), look at you and say “ok, so here is what we are going to do.” It caused me to pause and reflect on just how real He truly is, every single day, He’s present, ready and waiting for you to invite Him to sit down next to you. Start by inviting Him into your moment and thanking Him for each and every blessing in your life.

His Peace

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)

Imagine God hands you a gift: His peace. In return, He asks you to give Him your worries and concerns. That may seem crazy, but that’s exactly what God wants from you.

Think about that as you talk to Him about what’s on your mind today.

When I read this very short devotion I was moved by it. So much truth and power behind such a short devotion but little is much when God is in it. 1 Peter 5:7, Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
