Celebrate with Joy

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. (Philippians 4:4)

It’s time to celebrate Jesus! But the only way we can do that is to be present and filled with joy. Let’s choose joy and grace today. Not only in the good parts of the celebration, but in the hard things, the disappointment, and the chaos. May we discover comfort and hope even as we navigate the squabbles, the burnt food, and the tangled hearts. Let’s give grace so we can discover joy.

Father, please give me the joy of a child! Help me stop striving to create the perfect holiday and instead embrace the celebration of Your birth. I want to see this season with hope and excitement for the amazing gift You’ve given me! Amen

Philippians 2:9-11
When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.

Embrace the celebration of His birth! Let us not forget the true reason we celebrate.

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!

Merry Christmas!
