Real Peace

Nov '20

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)
What if someone told you that you never had to be anxious again? Would you laugh or roll your eyes? How can we not be anxious?
Each of us has stressors, worries, and difficulties. But God wants us to turn our worries into prayers. As we give Him our burdens to carry, it lightens the heaviness in our hearts and minds.
Some might mistake peace for lack of conflict, positive thinking, or even control. But that isn’t peace. Peace is not dependent on our circumstances.
Of course, when things are going well, we feel excited and happy. But, true peace is found in trusting the Lord, even when things are not going the way we hope or want.
Real peace has faith that God is in control whatever the obstacle, situation, diagnosis, or loss.
Lord, will you help me to trust you with my pain today? I need your strength. Amen
God is the reason why even in pain, I smile; in confusion, I understand; in betrayal, I trust; and in fear, I continue to fight. James 1:12, Blessed is the man that endures trials: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. God loves you and is far more powerful than the thing you fear most. He sees, He hears and He will deliver.

How’s Your Faith Right Now?

You don’t even have to leave the house right now to realize things are a bit unsettled in our world.
With so much about the future up in the air, it would be easy to feel anxious and fearful—but as God’s people, we do not shrink back in times like these.
In a culture that mistakenly places their trust in man-made systems of power, faith rises above the fray.
Psalms 20:7 reminds us that, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”
In a wavering world, may we be a people who are marked by immovable faith.
Faith that God is moving.
Faith that our prayers matter—that they bring heaven’s realities to earth.
Faith that is not shaken because it knows we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
If this kind of faith seems far off and distant—it doesn’t have to be. In fact, it’s meant to me the normal reality for us as Christians.
If you want to take your faith to new levels, then it’s time to get your eyes off the temporal and onto the eternal. It’s time to see things through God’s perspective.
When I read this devotion it blessed me. God wants us to look at our circumstances through a new perspective, His perspective. How many trials have you created for yourself because you haven’t bothered to seek God’s perspective? Zechariah 4:6 says, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

Open Your Heart to His Word

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3)
I think one of the sweetest sounds is the voice of a loved one.
Hearing your child say, “Mama, or Daddy” is a life-changing moment.
Getting a call from someone special can make your whole day!
But it isn’t just the call. It’s the person, the voice behind the call.
Did you know that God loves you so much that He desires to hear from you?
His Word says to call out to Him and He will answer – He will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
How exciting and awesome is that!?
It’s like being a child and opening a box of cereal to get the prize that is inside.
What amazing and wonderful things does Jesus have to reveal to you today?
God is ready to answer your prayers. All He asks is that you call to Him. His desire is to have a relationship with you.
When you pray, it gives you an opportunity to see Him answer. It acknowledges your need for Him.
Lord, thank you for guiding. Open my heart to your Word. Teach me the great and hidden things as I seek You.
When I read this devotion it blessed me. I pray after reading this devotion you are encouraged to seek Him and open your heart to His word. I love this prayer, Dear Lord, open my heart to Your Word so that I can hold tightly to its truth.

Great Comfort

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. (Hebrews 13:8)
God is powerful, good, unchangeable, and consistent!
There is nothing you can do to make Him love you more and there is nothing you can do to make Him love you less.
Believing that He loves you, will help you trust His will for your life.
Life can certainly be challenging at times which can cause us to question the Lord and His ways.
However, the better you know Christ, the easier it is to have peace.
He has your best interest at heart…always!
Today are you:
- Struggling with letting go of control
- Do you hesitate to give your concerns, hopes, and dreams to Christ?
- Are you holding onto pride by believing that you are better equipped to decide what is best?
When we lose sight of God’s divine plan, we replace God with SELF.
People may let you down, but Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow.
The world, your job, and circumstances may change. God never does.
There is great comfort in trusting the Lord. He is unchangeable, and He is a Savior you can rely on!
When I read this devotion it blessed me. Plain and simple. No matter what, God is the same today, yesterday, tomorrow and always. Never loose site of that truth. I may not know what tomorrow holds but I know Who holds my tomorrow. God is faithful.
Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!
