The Bridge of Grace

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. (Colossians 3:13)

There you have it, people. It is so hard, so, so hard.

It is so much easier to hang onto anger. So much easier.

A grudge is like attempting to poison someone else, but drinking the poison yourself.

It rots you out, slowly and deceptively.

God has given us all grace. That arch, that bridge is so unbelievably important, so strong.

Walk on it, believe in it, and hold the hand of those who hurt you and take them across with you.

God is love, God is in you, YOU are love.

Fallen, broken world? Yes.  Redeemed and forgiven souls with the ability to spread grace. Yes!

Don’t hesitate as night cometh…

“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” (John 9:4-5)

“The bridge of grace will bear your weight, brother. Thousands of big sinners have gone across that bridge, yea, tens of thousands have gone over it. Some have been the chief of sinners and some have come at the very last of their days but the arch has never yielded beneath their weight. I will go with them trusting to the same support. It will bear me over as it has for them.”

Before the sun sets, choose forgiveness and grace.

Wow! What an image, I’ve never looked at grace as though it were a bridge but how powerful is that? I can remember so vividly, God taking my hand and walking with me across that bridge called Grace. If He can do it for me, I can in return, hold the hand of those who hurt me and take them across with me. We must be willing while it is still day to spread grace, walk on it, believe in it and let go of that grudge that  weighs us down. Forgiveness and Grace! Hallelujah!

Have a beautiful and uplifting day in The Lord!
