Eye of the Storm

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. (Psalm 23)

I recently heard this song and it blesses me every single time and it brought me back to this setting of scripture. I woke singing this song to myself early this morning and so I want to share some of the song with you. I’m certain many have heard the song and that’s okay, my prayer is that it blesses you in some way today.

In the eye of the storm, You remain in control and in the middle of the war, You guard my soul, You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn, Your love surrounds me in the eye of the storm. When the solid ground is falling out from underneath my feet, between the black skies, and my red eyes, I can barely see. When I realize I’ve been sold out by my friends and my family, I can feel the rain reminding me, In the eye of the storm, You remain in control, In the middle of the war, You guard my soul, You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn Your love surrounds me in the eye of the storm. When my hopes and dreams are far from me, and I’m runnin’ out of faith, I see the future I picture slowly fade away and when the tears of pain and heartache are falling down my face, I find my peace in Jesus’ name.  In the eye of the storm, You remain in control, In the middle of the war, You guard my soul, You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn, Your love surrounds me in the eye of the storm.

Thank You Lord that you are and always will be in control of every single thing in my life. Your love truly surrounds me in the eye of every storm. May I remind myself each day that I find my peace in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Have a wonderful day in The Lord!
